The David Magán Studio is jointly managed by brothers David and Kiko Magán; David, the artist and Kiko the Studio Director. The studio, in Madrid, Spain, was set up 10 years ago as a way to work with an extended network, which consists of a team of permanent coworkers and associated experts in different fields.
OBJECTIVES
The David Magán Studio collaborates closely with the artist David Magán, to manage a spectrum of tasks essential for the materialisation, exhibition, and dissemination of his artistic production.
Our comprehensive approach is aligned with the artist’s vision, and encompasses technical expertise which, aligned with the artist’s vision, ensure: precise execution, meticulous material selection, planning, coordinating and setting up exhibitions including touring shows, CGI digital project renders for client submissions, archiving for the safekeeping, thoroughly documenting, inventorying and archiving the artist’s work and production processes, editing and overseeing publications, and compiling a detailed catalogue raisonnée.
These efforts, in conjunction with the studio’s broader aims of Artist Assistance, Research, Design, Development & Production, Advocacy & Communication, collectively contribute to the holistic support and promotion of David Magán’s artistic oeuvre.
TEAM
The team meets regularly at the DM Studio’s office/showroom in the city centre. It is here, where the artist’s ideas come to fruition through catalytic dialogue and debate. Projects are discussed at meetings with the various players who will take part in research, production and advocacy. The interchange permits each contributor to delve into David Magán’s creative world so as to best render his work with the given parameters. The space is also an inspirational hub where both artist and team are enriched by the exchange.
