Espacio 0 is MAVA’s project for emerging artists, who are invited to completely occupy the museum’s skylight space.

Magán’s ambitious project began with the idea of ‘how to occupy as much space as possible with as few resources as possible’. The result was ‘Spheric Composition’, the first of his iconic installations of suspended planes of colour that have, since, remained a constant throughout his career.

The work was included in the catalogue ‘Domesticated Transparency’ published for David Magán’s solo exhibition at MAVA in 2013.
