IN PRAISE OF SHADOWS

El Elogio de la Sombra (In Praise of Shadow), David Magan’s solo show at As Quintas Cultural Centre, includes some of his most iconic light works and presents two new pieces from the Dual Figures series.

The exhibition catalogue includes an essay written by the curator Juanjo Aguilar Orellana, which gives the exhibition its name. In this way, Magán’s work goes beyond the confines of the museum space, using the catalogue as a further support, offering other ‘ways of seeing’ to better understand the works on display.
